East Africa Group Booking Bonus

To promote the convenient service between the U.S. and the East Africa destinations of Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, South African Airways is offering a special tour conductor incentive on group bookings for travel during the shoulder and low seasons of late 2012 and early 2013. The following are the details of this special tour conductor offer:

• For every ten (10) paying group passengers, one (1) complimentary tour conductor ticket is earned
• Travel must commence between September 1, 2012 through December 15, 2012 and January 15, 2013 through March 31, 2013
• A maximum of (5) tour conductor tickets can be earned by any one group
• Tour conductor tickets are valid on SAA-operated flights only. Other airlines on the group itinerary and SAA code-share flights do not qualify for this special offer
• All taxes, surcharges and fees will apply to the tour conductor ticket(s)
• Passengers utilizing tour conductor tickets are required to travel on the same itinerary and in the same class of service as the group
• Applicable to new group bookings only

SAA Introduces New Checked Baggage Policy

South African Airways introduced a new checked baggage and excess baggage policy on September 5, 2012 to provide a more simplistic, consistent and competitive baggage allowance for our Business Class and Economy Class customers. The new baggage policy is based on the piece-concept and excess baggage charges will be based on the number of pieces of checked baggage, rather the additional charges above the allowable weight limit.
