ZURICH'S BAUR AU LAC

HEATS UP WINTER WITH GLÜHWEIN

 

 

New York - December 14, 2012: Zurich's renowned Baur Au Lac hotel is celebrating the holiday season with one of Switzerland's traditional staples - Glühwein. In the spirit of giving, the hotel is sharing its secret holiday recipe:

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 1/3 cups red wine
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 of a lemon (sliced)
  • Pinch of cloves
  • Sugar to taste

 

Preparation:

Mix ingredients together in a large pot and stir over medium heat.  Let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes.  Strain through a cheese cloth and serve in individual glasses, each garnished with a cinnamon stick.

 

Your Glühwein is now ready to enjoy!
