YORK, PA- Chat with welcoming winemakers, discover cozy tasting rooms and experience exclusive tank and barrel tastings during the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail’s Annual Tour de Tanks event! The event, now in its eighth year, will take place weekends March 2 – March 30, 2013 and offers visitors the opportunity to taste this year’s vintages while still in the barrel.

The 2013 Tour de Tanks event welcomes The Vineyard at Grandview, High Rock Winery and Old Republic Distillery. These new partners join 23 existing wineries, bringing the total number of Mason-Dixon Wine Trail partners to 26, giving visitors more wines to sample and tasting rooms to enjoy!

 “The Mason-Dixon Wine Trail is a year-round destination and events like Tour de Tanks are the perfect way to get visitors to come explore all our region has to offer,” said Anne Druck, President, York County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Many of our hotels and bed and breakfasts are offering special packages for wine enthusiasts, so visitors can take their time exploring the Trail, as well as visiting other local attractions.”

 Tickets for Tour de Tanks are $25 each and include an official souvenir wine glass and exclusive 10% discount at participating wineries.  Designated driver tickets are also available. Tickets are valid for all event weekends and are available online or at participating wineries.

 Visitors can easily turn their Mason-Dixon Wine Trail adventure into a weekend getaway thanks to a variety of affordable overnight packages offered by the area’s historic bed and breakfasts and full-service hotels.
