Sacred Rides, Premier Mountain Bike Adventure Company,
Introduces International Multi-Sport Programs
Appealing to Beginning Mountain Bikers

TORONTO, Ontario, June 20, 2013 -- A groundbreaking mountain bike tour operator based in Canada that offers advanced singletrack fat tire tours in 13 remote and exotic international destinations announces a new line of multi-sport tours aimed at people who would like to begin to share the fun of mountain biking.

Sacred Rides (http://sacredrides.com), North America’s leading mountain bike adventure company, today is launching an enhanced and expanded website to introduce 10 new adventures that combine mountain biking with, among others, yoga, hiking and rafting, with one program in Mexico targeting active families. Other tour destinations include British Columbia, Patagonia, Peru, Slovenia/Croatia and Utah.

"Because of the difficulty of our core singletrack tours, most of our trips until now have been accessible only to the inner circle of mountain biking aficionados," says Mike Brcic, Sacred Rides founder and owner. "Now even beginner mountain bikers can experience the remote and incredible places that we visit on our trips, while easily traversing quiet dirt roads and paths and enjoying what we call the ‘sacred’ experience of mountain biking.”

Programs that run from three to 10 days start at $595 CAD per person, double, inclusive of regional-specific activities, lodging, daily lunch and breakfast, most dinners, daily luggage and airport transfers, and the expertise and companionship of a local guide.

Combining other outdoor activities into the daily itinerary reduces the number of hours on a bike and thus reduces how strenuous a trip will be, Brcic notes. The trips are rated for skill levels from one to 10, as well as for fitness on a one-to-five scale.

An example of an eight-day adventure is the Alps and Adriatic Multisport (www.sacredrides.com/multisportrides/slovenia-croatia/alps-adriatic-multisport) at $2,395 CAD per person double. Suggested skill and fitness levels begin at two for exploring the Slovenian Alps. Included are seven days of guided mountain biking with experienced local guides, eight nights accommodation in locally owned lodges, daily breakfast and lunch plus four dinners, all transportation including airport transfers in an air-conditioned van, a boat trip on the LIm Fjord, underground mountain biking in Slovenia, entrance to parks and caves and ice-cold local brews and beverages at the end of each day's ride.

In addition to easy mountain biking on scenic dirt roads in Slovenia and Croatia, guests sea kayak in the Adriatic, visit the Skocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage and Cultural site, and the medieval seaside town of Rovinj on the Adriatic, and mountain bike underground in a 400-year-old mine.
