INTERNATIONAL CELEBRITIES ARRIVE IN ISRAEL

A collection of award-winning international celebrities arrived in Israel in June 2013, including Grammy, Emmy and Academy Award-winning legend Barbra Streisand, who performed in Israel for the first time ever last week, where she presented two consecutive sold-out concerts at Tel Aviv's Bloomfield Stadium, as well as a private performance in honor of Israeli President Shimon Peres' 90th birthday. In addition, actress Sharon Stone and actor Robert De Niro arrived in Israel to attend the annual President's Conference, hosted by Israel President Shimon Peres, at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem.

MAY 2013 SETS NEW ALL-TIME HIGH FOR TOURISM TO ISRAEL
|
A new all-time high for tourism to Israel was set in May 2013 with the arrival of 336,000 travelers from around the world, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year. Approximately 1.4 million tourists arrived in Israel between January and May 2013, a slight increase compared to the same period in 2012 and 7% more than 2011.
