Sacred Rides Introduces End-of-Summer
Multi-Sport Adventure Getaway
In the Canadian Rockies
TORONTO, Ontario, Aug. 8, 2013 – Mountain biking for beginners, hiking in lush, old growth forest and sleeping at Island Lake Lodge (ranked as one of the Best Places to Stay in the World by
National Geographic Traveler magazine) is an antidote to end-of-summer blues, especially when topped off with whitewater rafting on the Elk River.
Sacred Rides, the company that helped pioneer single track mountain bike tours in 13 remote and exotic destinations internationally and in Canada, has two departures, Aug. 23 and Sept. 13, of a multi-sport
Rocky Mountain Getaway weekend geared to beginner and intermediate mountain bikers.
The per person, double, rate of $1,195 CAD includes round-trip airport transfers from Calgary, access to trails, local guides, mountain bike instruction, hiking, whitewater gear, breakfasts, lunches, microbrews, yoga and hot-tub soaks for three nights at Alberta, Canada’s Island Lake, a backcountry Rocky Mountain resort atop a private mountain lake in the southern portion of the Kootenay Range in Cedar Valley.
