PLAT DU JOUR RESTAURANT BY SWIRE HOTELS OPENS AT TAIKOO PLACE
Plat du Jour by Swire Hotels
(Hong Kong, November 19, 2013) – Swire Hotels is pleased to announce the opening of its new French bistro, Plat du Jour. Located at 17-21 Hoi Wan Street, the restaurant is the latest addition to the fast-developing Taikoo Place dining scene.
Plat du Jour is the first standalone restaurant to be owned and managed by Swire Hotels. The 60-seat restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner daily and will offer authentic French regional cuisine. The design of the restaurant adds a modern twist to traditional Parisian style and was envisioned by Hong Kong architect and interior designers Zanghellini & Holt Associates. The interior offers a cozy bistro atmosphere with burgundy leather banquettes and mosaic tiles at the entrance floor. Ideal venue for business gatherings, as well as private social occasions.
In keeping with the restaurant’s name, which means “dish of the day,” the menu features daily specials, created by David Laris as part of his long-term collaboration with Swire Hotels. The Australian-Greek David Laris is renowned for his culinary success at Mezzo, Sir Terence Conran’s flagship restaurant in London, as well as The Fat Olive, Laris at Three on the Bund and the BellBrook.
Plat du Jour will feature classic bistro dishes such as steak tartare, boeuf bourguignon, moules marinières and tarte tatin. Guests may choose two courses at HKD185 [Back to Press Releases Main]
