Glen Cove, NY, December 2013 … Glen Cove Mansion has announced a New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dance Party that will rival any gala Jay Gatsby might have thrown on Long Island’s legendary North Shore Gold Coast. The Dinner & Dance Gala, which is the first such New Year’s Eve party at The Mansion in many years, includes a sumptuous three-course dinner prepared by Andrew Helliwell, Glen Cove Mansion’s renowned European-trained executive chef. Guests will be treated to party favors, noise makers and an array of raffled gifts, including complimentary guestroom stays at the beautiful Glen Cove Mansion, dinners at The Mansion’s restaurant - Pub 1910, bottles of champagne and more.
On Glen Cove Mansion’s fabulous New Year’s Eve menu will be Chateaubriand and Lobster, an extravagant Chef’s Carving Station, an Antipasto Station, as well as elegantly-butlered hors d’ oeuvres. Following dinner will be a cocktail hour with a Premium Open Bar and hot food buffet stations; and then a New Year’s Eve dance party with DJ entertainment. A champagne toast at Midnight will bring in 2014. The New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dance Party is $150 per person, which also includes party favors, noise makers, chance to win raffled gifts, taxes and gratuities.
For those couples who would prefer to take the elevator “home” on New Year’s Eve, Glen Cove Mansion has expanded the Dinner & Dance Gala Celebration to a New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dance Overnight Package. The New Year’s Eve Overnight Package includes deluxe guestroom accommodations for two, New Year’s Day Breakfast for two, party favors, noise markers, chance to win raffled gifts, a Midnight champagne toast, and the fabulous New Year’s Eve Dinner & Dance Party for two – all for just $450 per couple*.
Originally the magnificent country estate of John Teele & Ruth Baker Pratt, the century-old manor house is one of very few remaining on Long Island’s storied Gold Coast – setting for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic, The Great Gatsby -- that is open to the public. The Mansion retains many original architectural appointments and features expansive grounds for guests’ enjoyment.
Overnight guests have full use of Glen Cove Mansion’s health amenities, including the indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room, fitness center and more. The Mansion’s Pub 1910, situated in the former Pratt billiard rooms on the third floor, is available after-hours (and for after-New Year’s Eve Gala celebrating) and features superb food and beverages, as well as striking views of Long Island Sound.
