INTERNATIONAL CYCLISTS TO COMPETE ALONG THE DEAD SEA, ISRAEL THIS MONTH

New York - December 17, 2013: Cycle enthusiasts from Israel and around the world will arrive in Israel's Dead Sea region this month for The Veolia Desert Challenge, December 21-22.
The Veolia Desert Challenge will feature a weekend of cycling and athletic competitions and experiences, including the seventh-annual Adidas Moon Run, a multi-course moonlit off-road running competition; the Nathan Ultimate Challenge, a combination of an outdoor night run and bicycle marathon; and the Veolia Desert Challenge MTB Marathon, a competitive mountain biking marathon offering 14-, 17- and 44-mile courses.
"We are excited to welcome international cyclists to compete amidst one of the world's most breathtaking landscapes, the Dead Sea," said Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America.
