HUNDREDS OF CYCLISTS FROM AROUND
THE WORLD TO ARRIVE IN ISRAEL FOR
KIA EPIC ISRAEL MOUNTAIN BIKE CHALLENGE

New York - February 6, 2014: Hundreds of mountain bikers and athletes from around the world will arrive in Israel this year for the second-ever KIA Epic Israel mountain bike challenge, September 18-20, 2014.
The competition includes a challenging multi-stage course through some of northern Israel's diverse natural attractions, beginning in Horshan Reserve and heading through Caesarea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Carmel Mountain (in three different directions), the mountaintop village of Zichron Ya'akov and a network of riding trails in Mishmar Ha'Emek Forest.
"The KIA Epic Israel cycling race is an exciting event that will bring world-class cyclists through northern Israel's picturesque Galilee and Carmel regions," said Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, "and further attests to our positioning as one of the world's most unique destinations for sport competitions."
As part of the event, participants will also pass through Megiddo, the biblical site of Armageddon and be stationed in a "Racing Village" in Kibbutz Dalia within Ramot Menashe Forest.
