America’s Best Restroom? Hot on the heels of the Tony, Grammy, Oscar, Dove, Golden Globe and dozens of other awards, comes one that just about tops them all: America’s Best Restroom Award. Which clearly ought to earn the Most Unusual Award Award. But read on… If you’ve admired a public restroom for its uniqueness, themed décor, cleanliness or some other aspect – and, while not necessary, but definitely a bit weirdly, have a couple of snapshots to support your appreciation – you still have time to nominate your discovery for the coveted, albeit mostly unknown and certainly underappreciated, ABR award on www.bestrestrooms.com. The Award is presented by Cintas (restroom supplies, among a host of other business services nationwide). Nominations will be accepted until April 7, 2008. Up to 10 finalists will be announced in May via the website, at which time the Internet public can cast their votes. The winner will be announced in August of 2008 and receive the coveted “America’s Best Restroom” plaque of recognition from Cintas. The top five vote-getters will secure their place in the “America’s Best Restroom Hall of Fame” also found at www.bestrestroom.com.

Another of last year’s winners, Mix Lounge high atop Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, features toilet stalls with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall offering wondrous overviews of the famed city. Users undoubtedly pray that the glass is only one-way. ...More Recent Articles |
