”The initial thought behind CowParade was to bring public art to the masses while at the same time providing a platform for local artists to showcase their work and raise money for charity,” says CowParade CEO and Founder Jerry Elbaum. “After almost 10 years and millions of dollars donated to various charities worldwide, we wanted to expand the brand by providing a site that offers consumers the opportunity to partake in the magic of CowParade in a way that easily fits into their lifestyle.”
Available in three sizes - Museum Edition, Regular Collection and Miniatures – the CowParade figurines are true works of art, hand-sculpted collectibles that flawlessly recreate the imagery presented on some of the most well-known and beloved cows. The Regular Collection and Miniatures measure 6-8 inches and 2-3 inches, respectively, while the new Museum Edition figurines measure 10-16 inches and retail from $65.99 to $79.99. Other categories of product available are plush, which includes 12 bendable designs and two CowParade originals –- the classic Beanie and Floppy -- along with event books and pins. Brand new to the CowParade line are jewel-encrusted pewter and crystal jewelry boxes that measure 3 inches and retail for approximately $45.
Remarked Marilyn Goldberg, world-renowned Licensing Agent, “CowParade is a brand built on stories, creativity and universality, which lends itself to such a broad spectrum of licensed product. In the coming months, CowParade and its designs will be the inspiration for brand new categories of product, including rugs, paper products, games and a complete line of housewares.”
Throughout the years, CowParade has captured the hearts and imaginations of hundreds of millions of people around the world. The CowParade events, with their signature dairy cow canvases, have become recognized globally as the hallmark of public art. While the cow sculptures remain the same, the artists are inspired by the cultural influences of their respective cities and moved by their particular interpretations of the three-dimensional cow as a canvas. To date, more than 5,000 cows have been the inspiration for upwards of 10,000 artists in over 50 exhibitions on six continents.
