“MADE IN MANCHESTER” PROMOTION SHOWCASES CONTEMPORARY SIDE OF BRITAIN

VisitBritain, the national tourist office for England, Scotland and Wales, has unveiled a “Made in Manchester” promotion together with New Balance and STA Travel to generate awareness for Manchester as a contemporary vacation hot spot.
Visitors to www.madeinmanchester.us can find out all about the great things to see and do in Manchester as well as download music from unsigned bands. The website also includes a ‘Design Your Sneaker’ competition with New Balance. By experimenting with color palates to create their signature New Balance sneaker, users submit their creation online (prior to May 21st) to be judged by KT Tunstall, the Grammy nominated singer and songwriter. The owner of the winning sneaker design will receive a trip to Manchester to receive a custom designed shoe and see KT Tunstall perform live in England on June 17.
The “Made in Manchester” promotion is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gather an insider’s view for the city.
