Fairmont Copley Plaza offers guests the opportunity to view a groundbreaking exhibit of early 17^th century Spanish art at the Museum of Fine Arts with its El Greco to Velázquez Package. 

The El Greco to Velázquez: Art During the Reign of Philip III exhibit will debut on April 20. It features an impressive collection of paintings, sculpture, and decorative art from 1598 to 1621.  The naturalistic and emotionally expressive masterpieces created at and for the court of King Phillip III reflect the grandeur of the time. Works by two of Spain’s greatest masters, El Greco and Diego Velázquez, will be on display and include larger-than life portraits, exquisite still lifes, and moving religious pieces that represent the sophistication of Spanish art during this period.  Many of the remarkable works have never been seen outside of Spain’s churches and museums. 

The El Greco To Velázquez Package includes overnight accommodations and two un-timed VIP passes to the exhibit.  Rates for this package start at $305, and it is available from April 20 through July 27, 2008.  Guests may upgrade to Fairmont Gold, the hotel’s exclusive club level, for an additional $100 per night or upgrade to the Museum of Fine Arts Suite, a mini-museum developed by archivists and historians, for an additional $300 per night.
