When you consider the many, many ways that OCEANS-21 will protect our oceans-it's challenging to find a reason not to support it. It's a 'no-brainer'! After all, it would be the first environmental law requiring explicit consideration of the entire ocean ecosystem -- (duh!) In fact, it would be the first environmental law of any kind to implement the principle of ecosystem-based management -- a huge precedent. OCEANS-21 uniquely establishes a framework for various governmental agencies to work in unison for one purpose: TO ENSURE OCEAN HEALTH FOR EVERYONE!
