Welcome Aboard for the 2008 Season Mercury, Chicago's Skyline Cruiseline, and Chicago's First Lady Cruises
Chicago's premier sightseeing boat companies, Mercury, Chicago's Skyline Cruiseline and Chicago's First Lady Cruises offer Chicago's most diverse and creative cruises. From fun, family-friendly lakefront cruises, fascinating architecture cruises, and crowd-pleasing fireworks cruises to late night supernatural cruises and cruises just for dogs, the Mercury family of eco-friendly sightseeing boats gives a new meaning to best seats in the house or, in this case, on the water!
An easy stroll north from Millennium Park, our lush, landscaped Riverside Gardens dock with its annual Monarch Butterfly Garden is representative of our comprehensive "green" program. As long-time stewards of Chicago's waterways, we are committed to protecting them and have joined the city's "green" campaign by recycling used oil, engine batteries, beverage containers, cardboard, and paper; using 11% biodiesel fuel, low-flush toilets and environmentally safe cleaning solutions; printing brochures on recycled paper, recycling architecture river cruise maps and promoting the use of public transportation to staff and crew.
Mercury's 73rd season runs from May 9, 2008 through October 1, 2008 and offers:
- The family-friendly 90-minute Urban Adventure Cruises
- Weekly Fireworks cruises
- Sunday morning Canine Cruises
- Late night Saturday Supernatural Cruise.
- NEW THIS YEAR - the Urban Adventure Package combining lakefront and sky-high views of Chicago courtesy of partners Mercury and The Hancock Observatory
Chicago's First Lady Cruises begins her 16th season as the official company for the 90-minute
Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise (CAF), highlighting significant sites and important
buildings that transformed Chicago into a global magnet for architecture lovers, with lively commentary by CAF-certified volunteer docents. CAF river cruises begin Saturday May 3, 2008 and continue through Sunday, November 23, 2008.
