SAN FRANCISCO, October 23, 2007 – Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will turn Thursday, November 29, into one ‘Red Hot Night,’ hosting fundraising parties at 30 hotels in 13 cities nationwide as part of its annual Red Ribbon Campaign (RRC), a national initiative dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness.
Hotel guests can participate by booking a special RRC rate code which automatically donates $10 from each night’s stay to the Red Ribbon campaign and additionally rewards them with a discount of 10 percent off their stay (available for reservations made through February 29, 2008). Kimpton’s ‘Red Hot Night’ parties are sponsored in part by American Airlines, PhotoWorks.com and Passport Magazine. Also contributing to the HIV/AIDS charities are Belvedere Vodka, Grand Marnier and Moet & Chandon. In 2006, more than $50,000 was raised from this campaign for HIV charities nationwide.
NEW YORK CITY – AIDS is Still a Drag: Kimpton’s New York hotels will team up with the ‘ladies’ of the Imperial Court to host a lively drag party at the newly-renovated The Muse Hotel New York. Guests will be treated like royalty while sipping specialty cocktails made with Belvedere Vodka, Grand Marnier and Moet & Chandon White Star, enjoying red-hot snacks, and entering to win regal prizes, while raising funds for the West Village’s Bailey House. Bailey House provides housing and healthcare assistance to those living with HIV/AIDS in Manhattan.
CHICAGO – Kimpton Red Romp: A Night to benefit AIDSCARE: Kimpton Chicago Hotels and AIDSCARE team up with Jade, SHE, and FLIRT boutique’s for an evening of red hot fashion and fun. Each boutique will have mannequins dressed in their favorite red pieces, along with a display table of jewelry from local Chicago designers, including Kristen Amato from Jade, Dana Rebecca Designs from SHE and Michelle Starbuck from FLIRT. In addition to ticket sales, a portion of the proceeds from clothing sales will benefit AIDSCARE.
ASPEN – Sky Hotel’s Red Sky At Night Renovation Party
A fundraiser for Colorado AIDS Foundation: Join Aspen/Colorado notable community members, VIPS, athletes, locals and visitors alike in support of the Colorado AIDS Foundation for a special Red Sky At Night Renovation Party and fundraiser. A special $20 donation for the Colorado AIDS Foundation will be collected at the door. Red Ribbon cocktails will be created by 39 Degrees Lounge’s mixologist, Denis Cote, great eats will be served from Executive Chef, Shawn Lawrence and live entertainment will keep the evening festive. The event will also mark the hotel’s recent fall renovation that will provide a fresh look for the hotel and lounge.
