Bourbon and Brass Event at Great American Brass Band Festival

(Danville, KY)    As part of the Great American Brass Band Festival activities Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg, Kentucky is hosting a special fundraising event called Bourbon and Brass.  Come taste the spirits of Kentucky and listen to the Lexington Brass Quintet on Thursday, June 12, 2008, from 7pm-9pm. 

This event will feature tastings from four of Kentucky’s premiere distilleries: Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Four Roses and Danville’s own Old Pogue.   In addition to the bourbons, two of Kentucky’s award-winning wineries, Jean Farris and Equus Run, will pour samples of their wines.  Alltech’s Lexington Brewery will serve samples of their award-winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, and their Kentucky Ale and Kentucky Light.

The music for the evening will be provided by the Lexington Brass Quintet, a brass group comprised of the principal brass players from the Lexington, Kentucky Philharmonic.

Beaumont Inn will serve their famous country ham and biscuits.  A signature cocktail will be featured for the evening in a souvenir glass you can take home.
