U.S. Virgin Islands (Sept. 7, 2007) – Kids aren’t the only ones who stay free in paradise anymore!  Bolongo Bay Beach Resort in St. Thomas is offering an Adults Stay Free Promotion where a third and fourth adult can stay FREE-OF-CHARGE when sharing a room with two paying adults staying on the resort’s European Plan (EP).

 

As an added bonus, for a limited time, Bolongo is offering a fourth night free (savings up to $244 per room) in conjunction with the Adults Stay Free promotion for all reservations (minimum of four nights) made for travel in September and October 2007.

           

            “Bolongo is a great fall getaway choice for adults.  We are a fun, lively and active place with exceptional dining plus a wide array of watersports, land activities, and live entertainment including steel pan, calypso and karaoke,” said Richard J. Doumeng, owner and managing director of Bolongo. 

 

As part of Bolongo’s Adults Stay Free EP vacation, travelers will enjoy accommodations in either an oceanview or beachfront room; a “discover scuba diving” in-pool lesson; complimentary use of non-motorized watersports (snorkel gear, paddle boats, sunfish sailboats, windsurfing equipment, and kayaks); and use of volleyball and tennis courts, plus equipment.

 

            Nightly EP rack rates during the Adults Stay Free Promotion are $195 for an oceanview room and $225 for a beachfront room, valid for travel now through Oct. 31, 2007.  From Nov. 1-15, nightly EP rates are $214 for an oceanview room and $244 for a beachfront room.  Rates quoted do not include 15% tax and service charges and $2 per day energy surcharge.

 

The Adults Stay Free Promotion is valid on all reservations made for travel now through Nov. 15, 2007.  To take advantage of this promotion, reservations must be made by contacting the resort’s on-island reservations department at 1-800-524-4746 or by sending e-mail: reservations@bolongobay.com.  The name of the promotion must be mentioned at the time of booking.  This program is valid on new bookings only and can only be combined with the fourth night free offer.  The four adults must work with the existing bedding in their room, which consists of either two double beds or a queen bed with a day bed.

 

Activities & Add-On Packages

 

            Bolongo offers a host of activities and add-on packages to offer a complete vacation experience in paradise.  A minimum stay of four nights is suggested, but not required, in order to take advantage of all activities included in the add-on packages.

 

            “While staying at Bolongo Bay, you can socialize with our staff and our guests as well as with many people who live on St. Thomas and vacationers from other hotels.  We are one of the must-visit hot spots on the island,” said Doumeng.  “Our add-on package options provide our guests with the opportunity to experience some of the best attractions in the Virgin Islands,” added Doumeng.

 

Guests can choose to add an all-day sail and beach outing to St. John aboard the resort’s 53 ft. catamaran, Heavenly Days, featuring lunch and open bar as well as a sunset cocktail cruise around Charlotte Amalie Harbour to their stay at Bolongo.  Guests who purchase the two sails in advance of their arrival at Bolongo will receive a 20% savings off the price.  Through the special, the two sails are priced at $132 per person (versus $165 per person).

           

            Bolongo’s VI Keys add-on package provides guests with the “keys” to some of the destination’s greatest attractions and includes: entrance to Coral World Ocean Park, a unique land and sea adventure; tickets to ride the St. Thomas Skyride to Paradise Point; a St. Thomas island excursion with Tropic Tours; a roundtrip shuttle to Magen’s Bay and admission fee; roundtrip shopping shuttle to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas’ duty-free capital; and an island tour of St. John with Tropic Tours that features roundtrip transportation to the ferry dock, tickets to ride the ferry, lunch with a soft drink, admission to Trunk Bay, St. John’s most popular beach, and snorkeling gear for exploring Trunk Bay’s underwater snorkeling trail.  Rates for the VI Keys option are $150 per person. 

           

            The Cruzan Cultural add-on package provides Bolongo guests with the opportunity to expand their experience in “America’s Caribbean” by offering a daytrip to St. Croix, one of St. Thomas’ sister islands.  As part of the Cruzan Cultural package, guests can enjoy roundtrip transfers from Bolongo to Seaborne Airlines on St. Thomas with Islander Taxi; roundtrip tickets between St. Thomas and St. Croix aboard Seaborne Airlines; an island tour of St. Croix provided by Safari Tours, which includes stops in Christiansted and admission to historic Estate Whim Plantation, the Cruzan Rum Factory, and St. George Village Botanical Gardens; and lunch in Frederiksted followed by a drive through the rainforest, past Carambola golf course and Columbus landing.  Prices for the Cruzan Cultural add-on package are $190 per person.
