ORLANDO (Oct. 24, 2007) - For millions of holiday revelers, going to see "The Nutcracker" ballet ranks as high on the list of holiday traditions as exchanging gifts and baking cookies. This year, Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando has created an immersive and festive new holiday tradition and its first-ever Nutcracker-themed vacation packages.
Enchanting Evenings Featuring "The Nutcracker" at Rosen Shingle Creek
America's most beloved ballet comes to life at the luxurious AAA Four Diamond Rosen Shingle Creek each Friday evening Nov. 30-Dec. 21, 2007 at 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., when characters and vignettes such as the March of the Wooden Soldiers and the Sugar Plum Fairy take place in the spacious hotel lobby. The colorful parade of characters is followed by enchanting entertainment including a string trio, carolers, a reading of "The Nutcracker" by the grand lobby fireplace, specialty fudge sampling and sales, holiday photo opportunities and drawings for hotel stays and special prizes. Special pricing will be offered during the Friday night event at the hotel's signature restaurants, Cala Bela, A Land Remembered and Café Osceola.

As well as the old-fashioned Friday evening entertainment, the hotel also is offering a special American Express Nutcracker-themed room package, which includes tickets to the Orlando Ballet's riveting annual performances of "The Nutcracker" on Dec. 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22 and 23. The package also may be purchased for evenings when the ballet is not being performed (Nov. 30- Dec. 29), in which case, the show tickets will be replaced with a complimentary pre-fixe, three-course dinner for two or four (depending on which package is purchased) at Cala Bella, one of the hotel's signature restaurants.
