SEATTLE - June 19 through September 21, 2008, Inspiring Impressionism comes to Seattle Art Museum, known as SAM, to show the works of Manet, Degas, Cezanne and more. The historic Mayflower Park Hotel paints a warm welcome for guests who want to see the exhibit and not have to stand in line with the Brushes and Berets Impressionism Package. The package includes a classic or deluxe guestroom at the Mayflower Park Hotel, VIP exhibit tickets for two as well as complimentary valet parking.

“Seattle hasn’t seen a touring Impressionism Exhibit at SAM since 1999,” mentions Stacia Williams, Director of Marketing for the Mayflower Park Hotel, “so we’re rolling out the creativity for our guests who love to get inspired.” The exhibit, Inspiring Impressionists: The Impressionists and the Art of the Past, will show how the artists made painstaking oil copies, as well as drawings and sketchbook studies from the Old Masters.

Rates for the Mayflower Park Hotel’s Brushes and Berets Impressionism Package start at $225 for a classic guestroom and, $245 for a deluxe room. The package is available from June 19 through September 21, 2008. VIP tickets, included with the package, will allow guests to bypass the general admission line and go to the will call desk for quick admission to the exhibit line. Reservations: 206-382-6990, 800-426-5100 or e-mail at mayflowerpark@mayflowerpark.com. Rates are based on a space available basis and do not include tax.

Built in 1927, the beautifully renovated Mayflower Park Hotel is one of the last remaining locally owned and independent hotels in the Seattle area. It is a member of Historic Hotels of America® that includes such other notables as The Greenbrier in West Virginia; The Brown Palace in Denver; and The Waldolf Astoria in New York. The hotel is also home to the award-winning Martini bar, Oliver’s, and Seattle’s Best Mediterranean Restaurant, Andaluca Restaurant.

Located at 405 Olive Way in Seattle, the Mayflower Park Hotel is operated by local owners Birney and Marie Dempcy and managed by Paul Ishii, General Manager.

Quite Simply, One of a Kind.
