Revamped 2008-09 Travel Guide Showcases The Region

 

POCONO MOUNTAINS, PA, May 21, 2008 – The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau’s Travel Guide is available for the 2008-09 season, highlighting the region’s distinctive features and offerings.  New graphics and text emphasize the Pocono Mountains as a four-season, conveniently located, drive-to destination.

“The Travel Guide is a tremendous research tool for anyone planning to experience what the Pocono Mountains has to offer,” said Carl Wilgus, executive director of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau.  “Visitors to this remarkable area can save time by using this guide to plan their trip here, leaving them with more time to make precious memories while exploring the region and discover that the Pocono Mountains truly is a great place to connect with friends, family and nature.”

The 2008-09 Travel Guide is organized into themed trip features, including: “Outdoors,” “Family,” “Couples,” “Girlfriends’ Getaway,” “Guys’ Getaway,” “Cabin Fever” and “Business & Pleasure,” demonstrating the region’s appeal to visitors of all ages and walks of life.  The Travel Guide also presents the Pocono Mountains by county, with sections on the “Jim Thorpe Area,” “Stroudsburg Area,” “Milford Area” and “Lake Wallenpaupack / Honesdale Area.”  A map is included to help visitors get to and around the destination.
