SAN DIEGO, CA, Oct. 8, 2008 -- Baja AirVentures announces three 6-day / 5-night Baja Wellness Retreats in April 2009 at its Las Animas Wilderness Retreat, a remote, eco-friendly lodge that accommodates up to 16 guests in eight beachside yurts. It also offers open scheduling opportunities for small groups to plan similar retreats.
The all-inclusive price of $1,995 per person, double occupancy (exclusive of a 10 percent Mexican Government IVA tax) includes roundtrip air from San Diego, boat transportation, a private yurt, healthy homemade meals, beverages, massage, yoga, meditation and such activities as kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, sailing and hiking. The 2009 dates are April 6-11, April 13-18 and April 20-25 and at other times by special arrangement per availability.
The program offers personalized treatments that range from body work therapies to body scrubs and mud therapy wraps. Daily yoga and meditation are part of the wellness curriculum supervised by wellness professionals.
Departing weekly on Mondays guests access Las Animas via a 2.5-hour private, scenic flight with Baja AirVentures direct from San Diego over the Baja Peninsula. Upon landing in Bahia de Los Angeles, a small fishing village on the Sea of Cortez, they boat in to spend six days at Las Animas. Far from the cacophony of urban life and civilization guests experience true seclusion and at night, see no lights but their own. Each six-day program accommodates up to 16 guests.
The rustic retreat offers eight romantic private beachside yurts with bathroom, solar shower, twin and king-size beds with comforters and high thread-count linens, and covered patios with hammocks. Lodging is built around a large centrally located yurt with a large attached patio which serves as kitchen, central dining area, cantina bar, and communal lounging and game area.
"By utilizing our private aircraft, we deliver easy access to one of the wildest regions of Baja, saving clients valuable vacation time and travel hassles," states Kevin Warren, owner of Baja AirVentures.
In April daytime temperatures range from 80-85 F and at night dip to 60-65 F. The water is in the mid to upper '60s and days are normally calm and sunny. This is also the peak of Fin Whale activity and the annual migration of the Elegant Tern, with 95 percent of the world's population breeding and nesting on nearby Rasa Island.
