MEET JACKSON HOLE’S NEW AERIAL TRAM
(Teton Village, Wyo., December 19, 2008) The Jackson Mountain Resort Aerial Tram is very proud to introduce its new 100 passenger Aerial Tram to the world today!
At the end of a two year construction process to build one of the most expensive, and technically challenging aerial trams in the US, we are thrilled to once again have the longest continuous vertical rise in North America and most beloved lift in the ski industry back in action!
Riders tomorrow morning will get their first trip on “Big Red” to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain. Local excitement is at an all time high as snow is pounding the valley, already adding 8 more inches of cowboy powder to the over 100 inches of snowfall we have received this winter.
The new Aerial Tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is twice the size of the original, carrying 100 passengers. The sleek, new cabins, and visually inspiring base terminal only add to the faster and more efficient "cable to the sky". As well as the journey, it is the destination that captures the spirit of the Jackson Hole Tram. Soaring 4,139 vertical feet in 9 minutes to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain is unrivaled in the ski industry, cresting the Tetons with an endless choice of ski routes below, not to mention incredible 360 views.
Share our excitement through words, images, and video capturing the enormity of this project on tramformation.com. Content includes the construction project to date documented by award winning, film maker Peter Pilafian and will showcase the project continuing, the amazing people behind the machine and the incredible resort that houses the story.
