The Offshore Sailing School to offer several women-only weekend programs
01-06-2009Offshore Sailing School is the leading institution in sailing instruction. Many women are intimidated to learn to sail in this male-dominated sport. The women-only weeks are a way for women to feel comfortable on a sailboat and they are also a great bonding experience.
Spa-Sail Escape in the Florida Keys:
February 1-7, 2009 at Hawks Cay Resort at Mile Marker 61, midway down the Florida Keys.
The Learn to Sail course is taught on a Colgate 26 and you'll earn your Basic Keelboat certification.
The Spa-Sail Escape includes:
- Offshore Sailing School's Learn to Sail course with certification
- Six nights at Hawks Cay Resort
- Six hours of seminars to augment on-water instruction
- Fourteen hours of on-water instruction
- A full day or two half-days practice sail without the instructor aboard
- Dolphin Experience (swim with Dolphins!)
- Spa credits to pamper yourself after time on the water

Packages start at $2,995 single occupancy and $2,395 based on double occupancy. More advanced courses are also offered (Captiva Island, FL June 28-July 4 and in the British Virgin Islands July 22-August 2 and September 30-October 11).
