A new lodge has opened along the Great Ocean Walk (www.greatoceanwalk.com.au) in Victoria, Australia to accommodate exclusive tours.
Carved out along previously inaccessible coastline, the recently opened Great Ocean Walk traverses 56-miles of stunning coastal landscapes, secluded beaches, fern gullies, forests, cliff tops and unique rock formations. Along the trail visitors encounter waterfalls, abundant birdlife, mobs of kangaroos and wallabies. Other highlights are the Cape Otway Lightstation, Shipwreck Beach (where giant anchors still sit in the sand) and the Twelve Apostles (the walk's grand finish).
Tour company bothfeet offers tours ranging from three to six-days with accommodation at the NEW bothfeet walking lodge positioned along the trail. The four eco-star lodge combines state-of-the-art sustainable design with a bush setting and regional food and wines. 10 en-suites bedrooms accommodate up to 20 people and a spring-fed swimming pool, foot spa and massage room offer a relaxing sanctuary for guests after a long day of hiking. Trips depart three times weekly throughout the year and early booking discounts are available
