United States

-The Fairmont Newport Beach offers two ways to get out of the doghouse - The Chihuahua package features overnight accommodation, complimentary valet parking, breakfast for two and a chocolate covered strawberry treat with a plush stuffed animal amenity upon arrival. Available Friday and Saturday nights, rates start at $179 USD per night.  For any delinquent Romeos that need to impress in a big way, The Great Dane package features overnight accommodation, complimentary valet parking, a $25 dining credit, two comfy Fairmont signature robes, wine and cheese amenity, and a stuffed animal upon arrival. Available Friday and Saturday nights, rates start from $279 USD a night. 

-Enjoy some Orchid Forgiveness with a visit to Hawaii and the Big Island's Fairmont Orchid. This package includes a 3rd night free incentive, $200 resort spa credit and a special welcome romance amenity from the chef.  The piece de resistance is a romantic turndown including a trail of orchid petals trail leading to a heart on the bed, which center holds a dog bowl made from chocolate filled with sweetheart candies.  In addition, guests will enjoy an assortment of dog bone-shaped cookies, a bottle of champagne and romantic music in the background.  A minimum three-night stay is required and rates start from $629 per night.

-The Fairmont Washington wants to help neglectful types say Mea Culpa with a package that includes nightly accommodation, breakfast for two and a special "I'm Sorry" amenity created by the hotel's executive pastry chef.  Package rates start from $259 per night.

-Whether it's a missed birthday, a forgotten anniversary or a Valentine's Day passed by, The Fairmont Copley Plaza offers a way to make it up to her with its Get Out of the Dog House Weekend Package.  Located in the historic Back Bay, the Fairmont Copley Plaza is in one of Boston's most romantic neighborhoods.  The expert staff at the Fairmont Copley Plaza can set the mood for romance and amnesty.  This package includes one night in an elegant guestroom, breakfast for two and an amenity of dog shaped cookies.  This package is available through December 30, 2009, and rates start at $299.

Canada

-If you're getting the cold shoulder for forgetting this annual day devoted to love, a trip to the charming province of Quebec is be in order.
