There are plenty of ski deals to be had in Sun Valley this spring

Winter conditions are still going strong in the famed resort area of Sun Valley/Ketchum, ID, but its never too early to think ahead to spring break. Below are the top ski and lodging deals happening in Sun Valley this spring:

  • Kids ages 2-11 can FLY FREE on Horizon Air on non-stop flights from Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle to Sun Valley/Ketchum, Idaho (SUN) this winter when booked with a qualifying lodging package during selective travel dates. This offers great savings on family travel to the famed ski resort during 2009. Sun Valley Food & Wine Festival Announces Chef Line-Up

John Tesar will be at the Sun Valley Food & Wine Festival June 12th-14th, 2009 

Sun Valley has announced the guest chef line-up for the third annual Sun Valley Food & Wine Festival. The 2009 event, which showcases the area as a first class culinary destination, will take place June 12th-14th.  Set in the stunning Idaho Rockies, the three-day celebration will feature chef cooking demonstrations paired with great wines, as well as wine seminars and vintner dinners at area restaurants


Designed to be “a fun and educational feast for the palate in an inspired setting,” the culinary extravaganza will feature John Tesar, former Executive Chef on Mansion at Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas, Vitaly and Kimberly Paley of Paley’s Place in Portland, Oregon, and Vaughn Hobbs, Executive Chef from Viking, the originator of professional cooking appliances for the home.  Local chefs will also demonstrate their skills, displaying the diverse range of menus offered in the Sun Valley area, from gourmet dining to Idaho raised lamb, and Northwest Palate’s Cole Danehower will present a wine seminar.
