LEESBURG, VA – Oatlands’ Executive Director David Boyce announced today that Oatlands will officially open for 2009 on Mon., March 23. Boyce says, “Oatlands shall continue to offer our community a wide array of cultural, educational and social events in 2009.”
Events scheduled at Oatlands in 2009 include the Loudoun Hunt Point-to-Point on Sun., April 12, the Loudoun Arbor Day Celebration on Sat., April 18 and Oatlands Spring Gala on Sat., April 25. The Four Seasons of Oatlands Art Show & Sale kicks off on July 6 and runs through July 26. Oatlands will also host the Middleburg All Breed Dog Show, sponsored by the Middleburg Kennel Club, on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 as well as the return of The Hunt Country Fall Antiques Fair on September 5 and 6. In addition, the Christmas at Oatlands’ tours will begin on, Nov. 23.
Oatlands popular teas return. “Four Seasons Teas” which are special event teas, include: Mother’s Day Teas on Sat., May 9, Sun., May 10, Tea with Artists on Sun., July 26, Autumn Teas on October 17 and 18, Teddy Bear Tea on Sun., Dec. 6, Nutcracker Tea on Sun., Dec. 13 and the Winter Wonderland Tea on Sun., Dec. 20. This year, Oatlands will also offer Sunday teas which will take place on the last Sunday in March, May, June, August, September, November, and December. The price for the Four Seasons teas and the Sunday teas is $24.95 per person, not including tax. Seatings are at 1 p.m. Reservations are required. Mansion tour fees are discounted with the purchase of a tea.
Fall teas are served on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Nov. 5 through Nov. 29 (except Thanksgiving Day). Holiday teas are also available on Thursdays, thru Sundays from Dec. 3 through Dec. 27 (except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas). Fall and Holiday teas are $24.95 per person, not including tax. Seatings are at 1 p.m. Reservations are required. Mansion tour fees are discounted with the purchase of a tea.
Hours for mansion, garden and grounds tours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and students (6 yrs. old.-16 yrs.old), and free for children five and younger. Mansion tours are conducted on the hour. The Oatlands Carriage House Gift Shop and nearby Potting Shed Shop are open for business from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
