With non-stop activities including beaches, museums, ghost tours, baseball games, scavenger hunts, attractions, shopping and more, Charleston reinstates the true meaning of summer vacation and will have the whole family asking, “are we there yet?”
From now until July 9, 2009, families who want to hit the road this summer should submit a three minute video that showcases their bond and creativity. They must enthusiastically detail why they would like to bring their family to vacation in
Several authorities on the topic of American families, including John Rosemond, family psychologist and author of Parenting by the Book and Making the “Terrible” Twos Terrific, will judge the video portion of the competition and help narrow the competition to the finalists. The general public will then be able to vote for their favorites on the giveaway Web site. Winners will be announced on or around July 13, 2009, and all winning trips must be taken during August 2009.
“Memories of having fun together and being loved are the best gifts a parent can give,” commented Rosemond. “In today’s fast-paced world, it’s important for parents to set aside dedicated time to reconnect with their family and the summer vacation is the perfect opportunity to do that.”
Families will be competing to win one of the following packages: Endless Summer Beach at the Wild Dunes Resort, You Sank My Battleship! at the Charming Inns, the Lord Anson’s Excellent Adventure at the Ansonborough Inn, the Summer Famcation at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort and the Heritage and Hits at The Mills House Hotel. Certificates for travel on AirTran Airways will also be included.
