ATLANTIC CITY’S FREE EVENTS AND ATTRACTIONS

05-20-2009

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, May 18, 2009 – While the economy may be tough on travelers’ wallets, Atlantic City (www.atlanticcitynj.com) is offering relief with numerous attractions and sites that are free of charge this summer. Visitors strolling along the country’s first established Boardwalk in the city that’s “Always Turned On” will come across museums, concerts and attractions allowing them to experience the sites and sounds of Atlantic City without breaking the bank.

“Part of what makes Atlantic City such an affordable destination is the number of free activities and attractions available to travelers,” said Jeff Vasser, president of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority. “In today’s economic climate, Atlantic City is working hard to provide a great opportunity for folks to find real value in their visit. We want people to enjoy our hotels, casinos, spas and restaurants, but we also want them to take advantage of all the free offerings, not the least of which is our incredible beach and seaside location. That is something that other gaming destinations simply can’t offer and may be the greatest value of all.”
