Festival Acadien de Caraquet

The largest annual celebration of Acadian culture is bigger and better than ever this year. The program is jam-packed, including a spectacular musical fireworks show and many other artistic events. From August 1 to 15, crowds will flock to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Caraquet!
Over 200 artists – singers, musicians, actors, dancers, writers and more – from Acadia and the francophone world, will present their talents. More than ever, the "Gala de la chanson" provides many highly talented Acadian artists with a prestigious springboard.
On August 15, be in the streets of Caraquet around 6 p.m., along with more than 20,000 others, and make a mighty noise during the famous "Tintamarre" (noisy parade), creating a deafening clamour that joyfully expresses Acadian pride!
Each year, more than 100,000 people participate in the activities of the "Festival Acadien." Join us for a spectacular program!

CMA 2009

In 2009, the Acadian Peninsula will be a gathering place for Acadians from around the world. There will be music, family gatherings, and exhibits.  Individuals and families will be traveling from around the world to host their family reunions on the Peninsula, and participate in all the festivities. www.cma2009.ca
