UK based, Martin Randall Travel (MRT) is happy to offer travelers an in-depth look at the works of Le Corbusier, famous for his contributions to what is now called Modern Architecture, and one of the most influential architects of the twentieth century. This 9-day architectural tour from May 8-19, 2008, begins in Paris and takes guest through his buildings in Paris, the east of France, the Swiss Jura, Lyons and Marseilles. The tour will operate with between 10-22 participants and an expert lecturer.

Le Corbusier was a pioneer in theoretical studies of modern design and was dedicated to providing better living conditions for the residents of crowded cities. His career spanned five decades, with his iconic buildings constructed throughout central Europe, India, Russia, and one structure each in North and South America.

This tour begins in Paris where Le Corbusier finally settled. In La-Chaux-de-Fond guests will see buildings that were commissioned to him when he was only 18 years old. The route then turns southwest, with a break at La Saline Royale, the remarkable industrial complex and then heads to Lyon with its striking modern buildings and a visit to the opera house.
