Hollywood, Fla. – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will turn back the hands of time in August to celebrate the 40^th Anniversary of Woodstock, the historical three-day peace and music festival that touched a nation in 1969. South Florida’s home for the hottest entertainment and gaming action will offer $69 room rates on August 18 & 19*, plus free Jimi Hendrix-style guitar lessons, memorabilia displays, hippie-themed events and a concert by original Woodstock featured performers Crosby, Stills & Nash.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be displaying authentic Woodstock memorabilia in the main lobby on loan from Hard Rock International’s collection. Featured items include a Graham Nash “Bootleg” t-shirt, Woodstock outfit from the Sears “Put on Shop” and a Woodstock staff member t-shirt.

In reverence to one of the greatest moments that changed the history of rock and roll, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is rolling back room rates to an unprecedented $69 a night on August 18 & 19*. Feel the love and excitement that only this AAA Four Diamond resort featuring 2,400 of the hottest Vegas-style slots, 89 popular table games, multiple dining, retail and entertainment options and luxurious guestrooms and themed amenities can bring.

Beginning August 17, expect to see hotel staff channeling the bohemian vibe in retro-themed ‘60s attire. A variety of Woodstock-inspired beverage specials including a “Purple Haze” will be offered at Center Bar and The Beach Club. The Hard Rock Café will offer $6.99 “Purple Haze”, “Red Headed Groupie,” “Groupie Grind” (non-alcoholic), “Backstage Pass,” “Hypnotic Tea” and a “Liquid Remedy” drinks. Plus, commemorative 40^th Anniversary Woodstock pins will be on sale for $10. 

Are You Experienced? Prepare to put some “Fire” in your licks with exclusive Jimi Hendrix-style guitar lessons. Lessons are free and will be offered from August 18 from 4 – 10 p.m. in the main lobby of the hotel. Guitars will be provided.

On Wednesday, August 19, groove to the sounds of the ‘60s at Seminole Paradise with WBGG, Big 105.9 FM. The retail, restaurant and entertainment complex will feature strolling Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jerry Garcia look-a-likes available for photo opportunities as well as a Hippie Costume Contest with a grand prize of dinner for two, plus tickets to catch original Woodstock legends Crosby, Stills & Nash performing their greatest hits at Hard Rock Live on August 20 at 8 p.m.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Crosby, Stills & Nash are expected to play the namesake “Woodstock,” "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," "Marrakesh Express," "Wooden Ships," "Our House," "Just A Song Before I Go," "Southern Cross" and many more.
