Sisterhood of the Traveling Skis

11-20-2007

November 19, 2007, Big Sky, Montana – Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana will offer two alpine ski camps this winter taught by women, for women focusing on improving technique, building confidence, and camaraderie among like-minded skiing enthusiasts.  The four day camps will offer full days of on-the-slope instruction, video taping and personal feedback, equipment discussions as well as après ski activities.  The session dates are December 10-13, 2007 and January 14-17, 2008.

Moonlight Basin’s team of experienced women instructors will concentrate on technique issues that are specific to women in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere allowing women to have more fun and success on the slopes.  Women will be grouped into small classes based on ability.  The camps also allow women to push their boundaries and ski Moonlight Basin’s challenging terrain with instructors, if desired.

“At the end of the week, participants will leave with a new-found confidence in their on-snow competence, the knowledge to make future snow experiences more enjoyable, and as important, enduring friendships,” said Anastasia Collis, a certified member of Professional Ski Instructors of America and one of program instructors at Moonlight Basin.

The camps include lunch daily with the instructors, après ski get togethers daily, a welcoming cocktail party on the Sunday night before the session, one dinner and a spa treatment at Moonlight Basin’s exclusive spa.   The cost is $670 per person or $854 with a four-day lift ticket.  Accommodations are additional.  For more information on the camps and accommodations, please contact Moonlight Basin at (877) 822-0432,  snowsports@moonlightbasin.com or visit www.moonlightbasin.com
