BANGKOK, Thailand (21 November, 2007) – Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia
Pacific today announced final preparations for the opening of the 95-room Park Plaza
Sukhumvit Bangkok in mid-December, 2007. It is the first Park Plaza hotel to open in
Thailand and is part of a major expansion of Carlson hotels across Asia.
The Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok is conveniently located, just three minutes’
walk from the BTS skytrain and MRT subway stations at the Asoke-Sukhumvit
intersection in Bangkok. The hotel features high-tech digital connectivity, modern design
features and Carlson’s award winning customer service standards.
In-room amenities include free wireless high-speed internet, 32-inch LCD
televisions with laptop connections and DVD player. Guest rooms feature an ergonomic
chair, desktop reading lamp, spacious desktop workspace and international power

areas of the hotel.

(Café On 2), which offers a chic restaurant and a contemporary bar with a club-like
ambience. Guests can also retreat to the rooftop of the 15-storey Park Plaza Sukhumvit to
work out in the gym, take a swim in the sky pool or enjoy a snack or drink on the al
fresco patio overlooking Benjakitti Park.
