Annapolis Bookstore
On Friday, February 12, at 7:00 p.m., the
Annapolis Bookstore will be hosting a speed-dating for book lovers called Get Booked. Each participant will have five minutes to talk about a book with another book lover. Participation is limited to ten men and ten women who are at least thirty years old and have the book they plan to discuss with them. Annapolis Bookstore
On Saturday, February 13, at noon, the Annapolis Bookstore will kick off its Beat the Recession Blues, curl up in bed with a good book 24-hour bed-a-thon. Last year, Annapolis Mayor Ellen Moyer and Governor Martin O’Malley participated in the event by reading in the Bookstore’s window bed for an hour. The event runs through noon on Sunday, February 14. Poets will read their own works as well as writings by Rumi, Neruda, and others at an open mike. Throughout the month of February, couples are invited to enjoy an hour facial or massage together in the couple’s room any day that it’s available.
