New Halloween-themed events offer thrills for all ages

MYSTIC, Conn. (September 28, 2010) – Mystic Aquarium will rely on scare tactics to attract visitors next month.

Connecticut’s leading attraction presents a brand new Fall-o-ween fest, a weekend-long, holiday-themed festival.  This event is the highlight of a month of Halloween-themed activities including a chance to sleep among the fishes in the Aquarium; enjoy a Halloween-themed breakfast; and a spooky cocktail event.  Many of the events are new this year and presented during extended Aquarium hours.  Admission to the Fall-o-Ween Fest event is offered at a discounted rate and is intended to appeal to adults, teenagers and young children.

Celebrate Halloween in style with the weekend-long Fall-o-Ween Fest taking place Friday - Sunday, Oct. 29-31. Choose from among hay rides, carnival games, a Haunted Marsh Walk, a special Halloween Sea Lion Show themed “Alice in Waterland” and a spooky haunted house filled with zombies.  Other activities include face-painting, Tarot card readings, a costume contest, and seasonal ale tastings for adults. Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume. Tickets cost $65, $55 for children. Aquarium members pay $55, child members are admitted for $45. Pre-registration is required.
