At The Roxbury, spa service does not mean that you will ever be served or slathered with a fruit smoothie; in fact, you’d be hard pressed to come by a pair of cucumber slices for your eyelids.  This luxurious, distinctive, and personal spa offers illustrious treatments not commonly found in the every day spa.  Because when it comes to relaxation, The Roxbury doesn’t mess around. 

Speaking of hard pressed, The Roxbury’s Shimmer Spas [North and South] dobelieve in massage, and offer a complete range of relaxing, invigorating, and glow-making services. At both locations – Shimmer Spa South, within the original establishment, and Shimmer Spa North, newly constructed just across the street, licensed massage therapists work wonders to reduce stress, reduce blood pressure, stimulate circulation, and increase range of motion.  Treatment slots fill quickly, so it is strongly recommended that you book in advance of your visit.
 
The sparkling Shimmer Spa North adds 1500 square feet of new pampering space designed with couples in mind. They can indulge in a simultaneous couples massage in one of the new private treatment rooms, or partake in the more educational consecutive couple’s massage, with one massage therapist demonstrating how to give your partner’s body exactly what it needs.  Next step: detox in The Shimmer Spa North’s new “Green Steam” made with green mosaic tiles from 100% recycled car windshield glass; then lounge on the two-person chaises in the relaxation room and library, floating blissfully, or languidly flipping through the glamorous coffee table books.
 
At the original Shimmer Spa, on the South side of the property, there is a single treatment room off the do-it-yourself “mini-spa,” a glittering 600 square foot wonderland of iridescent tiles complete with hot tub, dry sauna, fireplace, and black-river-rock-foot-massaging super-shower. 
 
And if that doesn’t make you feel like a big enough dollop of jelly, remember you can use your spa pass to hop back over to The Roxbury’s original Shimmer Spa South, and start all over again.
 
A spa pass ($20 per person per stay) gives you access to both locations from 8am until 8pm, and it is also strongly recommended that you ‘spa-hop’ all you can, to maximize your enjoyment of their respective delights.

Want even more exclusivity?  If you're staying in one of the kitchenettes, big king themes, or suites, you may be able to receive a massage in your own fantabulous room.  And The Shimmer Spas are not open to the general public.
