BOSTON – (February 8, 2011) – Taj Boston, the landmark hotel at Arlington and Newbury streets overlooking the Public Garden, is continuing its popular monthly Wine Dinners and, new this year, introducing monthly Spirits Dinners from March through December 2011. Wine Dinners will be held on the last Thursday of each month and Spirits Dinners will be offered on the second Thursday of each month. All evenings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are priced at $65 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuities).
Each evening is limited to 15 guests, who first taste and discuss the wines or spirits in the hotel’s historic Cellar with a noted wine maker, spirits expert or their representative and the hotel’s Sommelier, who provide an insider’s overview of the featured beverages while the group also enjoys passed hors d’oeuvres. The convivial conversation continues at 7 p.m. during a four-course Chef’s menu matched with inventive wine or spirit pairings in The Café. Guests have the opportunity to explore a variety of culinary topics at table with one another and the evening’s expert. To ensure a most relaxed experience, guests may then simply take the elevator “home” to their luxurious accommodations for the evening, offered at a special rate of 25% off available room or suite rates.
The special dinners are priced at $65 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity, and limited to just 15 guests; overnight accommodations at 25% off room or suite rates are subject to availability.
