JAY, Vt. - Jay’s 24 gladed
areas offer up the most boundary to boundary tree skiing and snowboarding
experience in the East. Skiers and riders are afforded the opportunity to ski
anywhere within the Jay Peak ski area boundaries, so long as they ski in threes
and exercise caution when re-entering the trail system. Jay Peak Ski Patrol
Director Peg Doheny knows that in addition to the traditional aspects of ski
resort safety, raising awareness about tree skiing safety is critical if her
team of patrollers is to have a successful, incident-free day on the

Research Team at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and Fletcher
Allen Health Care has issued a challenge to all skiers and to the ski industry
