An invitation to group organizers!

A familiarization tour has been planned for two reasons. First, to showcase the activities, tourism infrastructure and guides in the Sainte-Anne River Gorges Sector; and second, to give organizers the opportunity to experience the tourist offer their groups would enjoy in Portneuf.

The tour will take place in Saint-Alban and Saint-Casimir in the Portneuf region.

Two possible dates: Saturday, May 14, or Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Map to the tour meeting point: www.natureportneuf.com/down/392.pdf.

Reservations required.

The new flyers for youth, adult and seniors' group organizers can be ordered online.

Le Massif de Charlevoix tourist train project
Here is an update on the Groupe Le Massif tourist train project. The Massif de Charlevoix Train will make its inaugural trip on September 9, 2011, the first of 25 dates on its fall schedule. Members of the public are welcome to climb aboard. Departures will be from Montmorency Falls Park.

Le Massif de Charlevoix is a recreational tourism destination comprising a mountain, a farm and now a train. Known primarily for its skiing, Le Massif wishes to expand its offer by providing guests with a choice of different touristic possibilities from Québec City to La Malbaie, with stops at Petite-Rivière-Saint-François and Baie-Saint-Paul. The tourist train and diversified accommodations, including a five-building hotel complex with 150 rooms, are part of the Le Massif expansion plan.

Once finished, the complex will feature a multifunction room, public area, counter selling local foodstuffs, spa and train station. The first phase of the complex will be opened in the fall of 2012.
