Top 100 List Includes Aria at Vail Cascade Resort |
Vail, Co--May 24, 2011--Aria Spa and Club at the Vail Cascade Resort has won another distinction of excellence: a spot on the list of the top 100 spas in the United States, as announced by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. The June edition of the magazine singled out the "Top Resort Spas" in a special section listing 100 spas in the mainland U.S. With scores in the 90s for "treatments" and "service" on a 100 point scale, Aria Spa was also noted for the excellence of the facilities through the incorporation of natural elements and colors. Also noted are the fourteen treatment rooms at Aria, including a couples suite, rooms with state-of-the art equipment for anti-aging facial procedures and a floating hydro table for specialty body wraps. Additionally there is a separate area for manicures and pedicures, and a spacious sanctuary where spa-goers can recline on soft chaise lounges that circle a large stone fireplace. Hot tubs, steam-rooms and showers are available to guests in the adjacent locker rooms. Aria Spa lists over fifty treatments on the spa menu which can be viewed online at www.vailcascade.com.
Renovated in 2009, the 10,000 square foot spa is located in the Aria Club, a 78,000 square foot fitness center that spa-goers can utilize too. The fitness club is also a home to U.S. Ski Team members while they train in Vail, and many team members have enjoyed shooting hoops in the basketball court or using weight and cardio equipment on the third floor of the atrium styled club. Pilates, Spin, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, squash and racquet ball courts are available, and a new outdoor pool and hot-tub will be open in time for summer. Additionally, the entire club will re-launch in mid-summer with a plethora of renovations including a new fleet of fitness equipment and more. A new fitness floor will have rubber matting in the free weight area, and a polypropylene carpet under the cardio equipment and select drive strength equipment areas. Both flooring products are made entirely from recycled materials and the glue that is used is completely non-toxic. A wood floor will be installed in the main movement studio, making it the largest yoga/multipurpose studio in the area at a total of 1,800 square feet.
April Bingham, Director of Aria Spa is proud of the most recent award given to the spa, and feels that the entire Spa and Club will continue to win top level recognition as more improvements are made.
