SHERBORN, MA, June 7, 2011 ˆ One travel company is doing something to stimulate summer vacation planning by offering up to $700 off per person on a green escape on two wheels. On bookings made by July 15, 2011, for August departures, Great Freedom Adventures (http://www.greatfreedomadventures.com/) offers $500 off per person for one, two or three people booking together on one reservation; $600 off per person for four or five booking together; and $700 off per person for six or more on one reservation.
Based on a group of six in one booking, the per person, double occupancy daily rate for a nearly all inclusive bike holiday in an iconic New England/New York State destination starts at just $250. Per person (double) rates for parties of six or more booked in one reservation are: Maritime New England Bike Tour - Aug. 21-26 at $1,695 for six days/five nights; -Best of Vermont Bike Tour ˆ July 31-Aug. 5 at $1,495 for six days/five nights; -Magnificent Hudson Valley, New York Bike Tour - Aug. 7-12 at $1,650 for six days/five nights; and Enthralling Block Island, RI Vacation - Aug. 14-17 at $1,595 for four days/three nights.
A pedal adventure with Great Freedom includes more than just time cruising rural back roads on a bike. Jeanne Rummel, founder and owner, has sleuthed out artisanal cheese-making farms, micro breweries, sunset sails, hiking trails, iconic homesteads, mansions, gardens and more to engage the curious in ways that allow them to discover new worlds. She has also selected upscale lodges that mirror their locales and that also bring a diversity of proprietors into each regional and cultural mix.
