Yellowstone to Yukon Connection
10-01-2011
Dear Y2Y Friend,
This summer, I and a number of Y2Y supporters floated down the Nahanni River. For 14-days we were surrounded only by nature; no roads, no people, no development. The Greater Nahanni Watershed is one of the largest intact core protected wildlife habitat regions in the entire Y2Y system, and the experience was a soulful reminder why our work to keep wild-lands intact is so important.
Inspired by my journey, this issue of Connections is about our efforts to keep the Y2Y landscape intact. From purchasing private land to safe guard it from future development, to broadcasting the story of connectivity globally, this summer our team was busy linking the Y2Y landscape in a variety of different ways. Check out this on-the-ground effort...
