The Clifton Inn Offers its Own Wedding Gift to Couples:
Complimentary Rooms from December- March 2012 for Family and Friends
The Clifton Inn, in Charlottesville, Virginia, has long been a favorite wedding venue amongst brides, hosting more than 100 weddings annually. Tucked beneath towering trees at the end of a winding, gravel drive, the picturesque white manor house with its handsome columns is a beautiful backdrop for weddings in Central Virginia. This winter, The Clifton Inn is giving the ultimate gift to the wedding couple: the entire selection of guestrooms - up to 17 of them, are included at no chargewith weddings that take place at The Clifton Inn during the snowy, pristine winter months -- from December 2011 through mid-March 2012.* It only seems fitting, seeing as how the 100 acres on which Clifton sits were originally given to Thomas Jefferson’s daughter upon her marriage. It’s the gift that keeps on giving because no matter how many place settings, kitchen gadgets, and silver picture frames a couple may receive, the true gift is being able to share the day with family, friends, and those who matter the most – all in one place.
With an elegant warmth and nostalgic grandeur akin to a royal country manor, The Clifton Inn seamlessly blends the world-class service and exquisite dining one would expect from a Relais & Châteaux caliber hotel with the intimacy and personalization of a private estate. Every bride is equipped with both a day-of wedding coordinator and a personal assistant who will take care of everything. Seventeen guest accommodations allow the bridal party to stay close to the festivities, while elegantly appointed outer buildings including The Carriage House and the Honeymoon Cottage offer the newlyweds a private retreat just far enough from the guests but close enough to stick around for the final toasts. With beautiful mountain vistas, Clifton’s 100 acres offers a variety of settings from a permanent tent foundation on site – with a dance floor customized to match the wedding colors, to a striking wine cellar that makes a truly unique rehearsal dinner setting.
Friday and Saturday weddings include the use of all 17 guest rooms. There is a $2,750 privacy fee for the main house in order to close the restaurant to the public, and a food and beverage minimum of $5,000.
