“Magical Fireside Christmas” Extravaganza

 

Sights, Sounds & Scents of Christmas Past & Present, Opens Thanksgiving

 

 

Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania, October 2011 ... The Inn at Pocono Manor announces its third annual Magical Fireside Christmas Extravaganza will open Thanksgiving Weekend.  Visited the past two years by thousands of yuletide merry-makers from the Poconos and as far away as New York City and Philadelphia, this holiday celebration at the storied, historic resort, will be open to the public all holiday season long. 

 

A Magical Fireside Christmas kicks off to the public on Thanksgiving Day, November 24^th from 5pm-8pm and continues through December 31^st.  Admission to the holiday extravaganza is just $5 per person, which includes 5 activities tickets, with additional activity tickets available at $1 per ticket.  Additionally, the Inn will once again collect unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots. 

 

For those who need more than just a day or evening of yuletide merriment throughout the season, the Inn at Pocono Manor is offering a special Magical Fireside Christmas Overnight Package for a family of four from $158 per night.  This includes a full breakfast, activity tickets, family gift and Elf Turndown Service with an Elf (or possibly Mrs. Klaus) delivering cookies and milk and reading a bed time story.* (Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights, and daily Dec. 26 - Dec. 30.) 

 

A Magical Fireside Christmas Extravaganza

 

Sparkling trees, the Inn outlined in white lights, live baby reindeer for petting,  Santa & Mrs. Claus receiving children naughty or nice, marshmallows roasting on an open fire, horse-drawn carriage rides, train rides, and so much more will all be a part of A Magical Fireside Christmas.  From the moment visitors enter the century-old resort’s drive lined with sparkling holiday trees to the dazzling mountain-top array of Christmas finery, lighting, seasonal games, holiday adventures, children of all ages will find themselves mesmerized by this magical wonderland.  Adding to the holiday delight will be Christmas songs and carols playing inside and out!

 

A Magical Fireside Christmas continues in the Inn’s charming Fireside Lodge with its massive stone fireplaces and historic arts & crafts interiors adorned with glittering holiday decorations.  Visitors will discover a giant Gingerbread Village, have the opportunity to write personal letters to Santa and even hand-deliver these to both Mr. & Mrs. Claus while having their holiday picture taken with the Christmas couple.    Additional family activities at Fireside Lodge will include holiday ornament making and Christmas cookie decorating, as well as storytellers recalling tales of Christmas past. 

 

The Inn at Pocono Manor’s main building, festively adorned with Christmas finery and trimmed with white lights, will feature glowing century-old fireplaces, gingerbread houses and steaming hot chocolate with peppermint sticks – perfect for warming up after enjoying the winter wonderland adventures.  The Inn’s renowned Exchange Restaurant, located just off the lobby, will feature specially-created holiday-themed menus, ideal for families and all guests. 

 

Guests can make their stay even more festive with special package additions, such as a personal Christmas tree to decorate in their guest room, luxuriant spa treatments especially for busy moms, and much more.

 

Christmas is a time of sharing and giving, and the Inn at Pocono Manor encourages visitors to A Magical Fireside Christmas to donate an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
