The K Spa has introduced a complete menu of seaweed baths and bathing rituals, which act as amazing skin and hair conditioning treatments. The seaweed baths are also used to detoxify the body, treat cellulite and ease tired and weary bodies. Guests can choose from a liquid seaweed bath, aroma bath therapy, detoxing seaweed bath or even a peat and seaweed bath which combines organic seaweed with peat, ginger and cinnamon chi herb. All baths cost $68* / €45 and can be chosen as a stand alone treatment or as part of a half or full day package.
The K Club is in many ways intrinsically linked to the West Coast of Ireland and Co.
VOYA’s facial essentials have taken eight years of unstinting research and development. Quite literally, hundreds of different Irish seaweed species were evaluated for their skin benefits, ultimately creating VOYA’s unique clock stopping formulations. The K Spa has chosen a range of facials for both women and men, all of which are results driven. Guests can choose from a range of deep cleansing, refreshing, exfoliating or anti-aging facials as well as prescriptive facials for particular skin types or problem skins. The VOYA Facial Experience $165* (€110) incorporates finely ground wet organic seaweed, which gently exfoliates the face, a deep cleansing mask that purifies the skin and finally, seaweed which hydrates and plumps tired skin. This treatment is finished off with a relaxing head massage.
The body care menu includes a range of exfoliating treatments, wraps and massages, which incorporate seaweed, crushed sea salt and the finest herbs and oils. A particularly effective body treatment is the Seaweed Hot Stone Massage $233* (€155). This massage is ideal for deep tissue treatment and relaxation. Aromatic organic essential oils are combined with leaves of seaweed and placed on the body, and then heated stones are then placed over the leaves. The heat of the stones soothes the muscles while releasing the powerful extracts of the seaweed into the body.
Covering 20,000 sq ft, The K Spa incorporates a secluded outdoor hydro pool, surrounded by mature bamboo plants and an aromatic herb garden. There are seven luxurious treatment rooms, and two private suites that are idea for couples or groups. The Oak Suite enjoys views of the herb garden and has a magnificent free standing, antique style brass bath, complete with claw feet and high-tech bath jets for hydrotherapy treatments. This suite also boasts a private sauna and experience shower. The Ash Suite is equally spacious and has a stunning raised Jacuzzi area and a private steam room.
The Wellness Suite in the spa features a Hamam, Hydrobath, Vichy Shower, and an exotic Rasul Chamber. The stylish and spacious hair, makeup and nail salon is bright and airy, and guests can enjoy the comfort of heated massage thrones as they get a manicure or pedicure, which is pure bliss!
The K Spa is a wonderful oasis
