NEW YORK – (October 25, 2011) – In honor of Diwali, an annual holiday in India and around the world, Taj Hotels is continuing the special “festival of lights” activities it inaugurated last week with additional celebration opportunities October 26-30 at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel in New York;Taj Boston at Arlington and Newbury streets overlooking the Public Garden and Taj Campton Placeon San Francisco’s Union Square.
At The Pierre on New York’s Central Park:
- Join the party in Two E Bar/Lounge: a Diwali Festival runs through October 30 with a choice of specialty dishes including Halibut Tukda ($24, halibut pieces tossed with curry leaves and garlic), Chicken Tikka Taka Tak ($24, morsels of chicken tossed with onion-tomato masala), Tandoori Naan Sandwich ($16, spiced chicken with tomato, lettuce, red onion and cilantro) and Olive Samosa ($16)
- A Diwali Drink Festival includes the Gol Gappa, Belvedere Vodka, Coriander Leaves, Mint Leaves, ‘Chat Masala’
Pineapple Juice, Fresh Lime Juice and Sugar Syrup and a Curry Martini, Stoli Vanila, Malibu Rum, ‘Curry Leaves’, Pineapple Juice, both $14
