Cabins at White Sulphur Springs - a new upscale mountain retreat
MOUNT AIRY, N.C. - Leisure and business travelers have a new, upscale lodging option in the Blue Ridge Mountains with the opening of the Cabins at White Sulphur Springs.
The cabins are located 10 minutes from historic downtown Mount Airy, and just eight miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Each of the six one-bedroom cabins features a king-sized, pillow-top bed and a queen-sized sofa bed.
Amenities include: fully-stocked kitchenettes, hardwood floors, vaulted wood ceilings, recessed lighting, fireplaces and private decks. Wi-Fi and flat screen satellite TVs ensure guests stay connected, while heating and air conditioning provide year round comfort.
"We've made our cabins warm and welcoming, filled with conveniences and comfortable furnishings," said Burke Robertson, owner and developer of White Sulphur Springs. "We are close to everything Mount Airy has to offer but tucked away enough to give the feeling of a private mountain retreat."
Guests have full use of the property's 145 wooded acres, including: hiking trails, walking trails, horseshoe pits, bocce courts, a hammock park and the Ararat River. Concierge services include golf and dinner reservations, spa services, trout fishing guides and recreational equipment.
"During the late 1800s and early 1900s, White Sulphur Springs was known as one of the finest resorts on the East Coast. Guests came from all over to enjoy our cool air, Blue Ridge Mountain scenery, and mineral spring water," Robertson said. "The Cabins at White Sulphur Springs provide guests with the same attributes today."
